NYC New York Color Show Time Glitter Eyeliner

Hey lovely!

This time we will be talking about the NYC New York Color Show Time Glitter Eyeliner! To start of I am going to say I did receive this product complimentary to do reviews on (click here for more info in Influenster.) I got in my College 2012 Vox Box. They teamed up with New York Color (click here) do give out these amazing products for Influenster members to do reviews on. Lets get started!

This is just the classic NYC packaging. This product retails for $2.49 and can be found at most drug stores. I have found it at Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, and Kmart.

The color I got was show time black. It has both very fine glitter and bigger chunks of glitter. There are three other colors Starry Blue Sky, which is a deep blue with rather large chunks of glitter. Glitterazzi Brown, which is a very bronzey brown with medium and small chunks of glitter. And finally Paparazzi Purple, which is my opinion is a very spring purple color almost pastel but not quite with medium chunks of glitter.
The claims of this eyeliner are:
Long wearing
Metallic sparkling effect
Smooth and creamy formula
Does not smudge
Non-draggy
Provides a precise line

Now while some of those are true a few are not. But in my opinion that is not necessarily bad! I use it for tight lining my eyes and for smoking out my lash line. It makes my lashes look really full and on the tight line the glitter makes my eyes look brighter. It is long lasting! It lasted a good seven hours before it started coming off on my crease. They sparkly affect is there it just doesn't show up well on camera. It was smooth and creamy which made it super easy to work with. This is where the fibs come in-in my opinion. It smudges like crazy! But I like that because it really nice for a smokey look! I wouldn't say it is non-draggy because if you have very dry lids it is which also makes it not so precise but other than that this eyeliner is amazing!

Overall I love this mascara and the more I use it and figure out things I can use it for the more I love it! I suggest you pick it up and try it!

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

Hey lovely!

So I got these as a part of the Influester College 2012 Vox Box. They are $7.99 for the patterns and $5.99 for solids. Click here to go to the imPRESS website. I wore these for about a week and a half before the got weak and started falling off. Pretty good seeing as when I do my nails they only last a few days. Now there are a few things you need to be warned about on this product. I will talk about that and some tips in this blog!

Close up picture.
Full view.

They are to big I know but they only had sizes that were either to big or way, way to small. So, I went the ones that were a little to big because the other ones only cover 3/4 of my nails. This was the result and I was honestly impressed because most fake nails are difficult to use and apply. But these were super easy to apply as they claimed to be. When it came to removing them they were super easy to apply and my nails were actually healthier then when I applied them.

Now to the tips!
Make sure your nails are cut short because these are rather short. So, cut and file them girl!
Also if you want to make them look more natural apply a matte top coat. It will reduce the shine. Even though they claim the shine is one of the things that makes them awesome I think they make them look a little to fake.

Overall I think these are amazing and that you should try them. For such a low price there is no way to go wrong! Nothing to really lose. So, try them out and tell me how it goes! Stay tuned for the rest of My College Vox Box series where I will be reviewing the other products individually!

College VoxBox '12

Hey, so about a week ago I was selected to receive the College 2012 VoxBox. To be honest I was not sure what to expect. I mean what could they put into a college box? Pencils? A notebook? Well, I got way more than I had ever expected! I got Broadway imPress Nails in Lil Drumr Girl, Necco Tropical Wafers, Energy Sheets, New York Color's Show Time Glitter Pencil Liner in Show Time Black and a Pentel EnerGel-X Pen in Blue

I was happy with most of the things I got. To explain what I mean I am going to go into more detail on each product.  I will list the pros, cons and some information I have learned about the products.

Broadway imPRESS Nails

Up close.  My first time trying them. They were super easy to apply. My only issue was that the sizes were either way to small or a little to big. I went with a bigger size because the smaller ones were showing a significant amount of my nail.

I obviously had already taken it out of the packaging but I thought the packaging was adorable! My only issue is that in order to open it you have to twist/ pull off what looks like a nail polish handle and it wouldn't come off easily! I had to fight it just to open. But like I said before the application of these was so quick and easy that the packaging flaw didn't take away from my love of the product! Overall I give them a 9.5/10. I will definitely be picking up more for a retail value of $7.99 for patterned ones and $5.99 for solid colors! Not a bad deal!

Necco Tropical Wafers

Hmm, nothing much to say! They were yummy. If you like fruity things I suggest trying them :)

What I find funny is that they say one serving is the whole roll! I could only eat a few but they were amazing no matter what!
It was a little damaged when I got it but nothing to complain about! It is candy after all lol

Energy Sheets

The packaging is very cute! I will try the other kinds soon.
I strongly suggest reading the label because there is some amazing information on there! lol
So, these little guys are amazing it does give you a lot of energy! I personally cannot use them right now because I am having issues with Vitamin B12 but I did try just one to see how it tastes and at first it tastes like those Listerine Breath Strips (yeah you know you remember those!) but once it dissolves it tastes a lot sweeter. I also have to say it does not dissolve in seconds. It took almost a minute for me to get them to dissolve. Other than that they are amazing. The reason I think it took longer is because they are thicker then the Listerine strips. Overall I give this product a 9/10 because they did give me a good boost of energy. Retail value is $5.95.

NYC's Show Time Glitter Eyeliner

I tried it out and it smudges really easily. It would be good for a glittery smokey eye but if you were looking for something that was going to be smooth, sharp and smudge free this is not the product for you. :(
These are the swatches. The top is applied heavily and the bottom is applied lightly. It is more glittery in person because there is a lot of fine glitter that the camera did not pick up. The little bit of glitter you see are the bigger chunks of glitter.
The packaging is just the classic NYC packaging. Nothing fancy but not horrible either.
Overall I would give this product a 5/10 because I can still use it but it doesn't do what it claims. Retail value is $2.50.

 Pentel EnerGel-X Pen

This pen is amazing not much to say but it worked right out of the package no need to go the starter scribble. I recommened it. 10/10 Retail value is $3.80 for two.

Final Thoughts

All of these products are amazing at first! I will be doing an update in a month seeing how these products lasted so check back then! Also, I am in no way being sponsored by any of the mentioned companies/brands. If you would like you can message me on YouTube or leave me a comment below asking me more information about Influenster, which is the brand that sent me the VoxBox!

XOXO-Bethany ♥
