Social media and fights on social media

**First off you may be wondering why I am posting this on my beauty blog and that is simple because I feel this post relates more to that than fitness or relationships**

Social media is overall a great way to share your life with other people. You can share your work, your kids or just your thoughts on everyday things. However there is always a bad side to things and it can be a bit hard to handle every now and then. I will start off by telling a story and then I will talk about what I did wrong and how I probably should have handled things. After that I will give you some basic tips about social media that might help you if you are stuck in a similar situation.

To start off I was on Instagram scrolling through the popular page and I came across picture of a woman's makeup. It was gorgeous but in the comments people kept saying how big, scary, and ugly her eyes looked. I absolutely disagreed with them. I thought the look and her eyes looked amazing. But, the reason her eyes looked so big was because she was wearing circle contact lenses. Also, know as circle lenses, colored contacts, or as I am many other people like to call them contacts.

All I did was say that to someone who said that her eyes were naturally like that, I had also commented saying how I enjoyed the look. The owner of the page showed that the comment about me saying she was wearing contacts bothered her so I respectfully gave my apologies and deleted all past comments. It seemed the respectful and right thing to do.

I must have been wrong about that because a "fan" of hers came on to a started making fun of my weight loss update picture. So, I told her to stop and that is was ridiculous of her to sit there and complain about people leaving rude comments on the picture of a woman's makeup but then she goes and posts rude comments on my pictures.

After that the "fan" decided to delete her comment only to say I was lying about her posting the comment. So, I decided to screenshot the comment before it disappeared from my notifications. I posted the photo to show her that I had in fact seen the comment. Well from then on she started harassing me.

I deleted the picture, her comment and mine as well. I blocked and reported her.Which I should have done from the very beginning.

So, what should you do if you are in that type of situation. First start by apologizing and ask them to leave you alone. If they continue to harass you, block and report them and make your profile private. If you don't want your profile to be private permanently just make it private for a week until that person cools down and finds someone else to harass.

Next, and this is the most important rule, DO NOT let them get to you or make you feel bad about yourself. People love to pick on others to make them feel bad. Sometimes it is because they are jealous. Other times it might simply be that they are insecure and they feel the need to pick on others to make themselves feel better.

I hope you enjoy this and that it might help you if you are in a similar situation.

Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response Review

Hey Guys! So, here is a product I have been loving with all of my heart! This is the last product (that I am reviewing on here. The rest are on my YouTube!) that I got complimentary from Influenster!

Let me just start off by saying I am in love with the Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response Deodorant in Serene Citrus. I rarely say this about a product but this product is amazeballs! It fits my needs perfectly.

To start off I generally don't need deodorant because I don't sweat in the armpit area or get BO from it. The only time I sweat is when I am stressed so this "Stress Response" deodorant is perfect for me. It is $7.99 to $9.99 but, I found it at my local Target on sale for $5.99. So, overall the price is not horrible for an awesome deodorant.

Now to my favorite parts. The smell is so yummy and it really does respond to the sweat. When I sweat I get blast of amazing fruitiness and he makes me less stressed when I smell it. The best part is that it keeps me completely dry! I never have any underarm wetness with this. This is the perfect deodorant.

Overall I must say there is really nothing negative. Yes, the aluminum part sucks but I am not going into that because I could rant about that all day. (lol) This is literally the best deodorant I have ever tried, I really do recommend it to anyone and everyone!

 Pretty simple packaging.

Seems like not much product but you really only need a very small amount it is an advanced solid so it is a bit like a cream.

Skinnygirl Daily On-The-Go Bars Review

Hey Guys and Gals!
Today I am doing a food review. I am reviewing the Skinnygirl Daily On-The-Go Bar. I received mine complimentary from Influenster. I got the Greek Yogurt Blueberry Crisp.

Now lets move onto what this product is all about. The product description is "One box contains 5 bars at only 180 calories per bar. The bars are natural, kosher, and high in fiber! All bars now have MORE protein & MORE fiber, LESS sugar & LESS carbs! They still make a great on-the-go snack or afternoon snack that is guilt-free! They are the perfect indulgent treat for individuals looking to maintain a healthy lifestyle."

Now all of those claims are indeed true to a point. These bars are very good, though I have a few issues with them. Upon checking the label I found out that it had 13% of a person's daily saturated fat, and other flavors have as much as 25% of a person's daily saturated fat. Now, to the average person that might seem okay but I am the kind of person who tries to eliminate as much saturated fat as possible. That part was the first part that threw me off.

The second part that frustrated me was the whole "Only 180 Calories" part. Only? That is almost 10% of the average person's daily calorie intake. Also, to be honest the bars weren't as big as some that have fewer calories than this one.

My last complaint is that the price is a little higher than I would hope for. Ten dollars for a box of five. Two dollars a bar? Not a huge fan of that!

Even with all of these negative things there are a few things I do like more than your average granola bar. I love the fact that they are kosher and natural. I also love the flavors that the come in. Most granola bars come in chocolate, peanut butter, ect. But these come in blueberry, coconut, and a few different flavors. I love all of the flavors they are amazing.

Now that you know what I love and dislike about I would say I recommend this not as an everyday bar but more as a healthy alternative to a candy bar. So, instead of reaching for Snickers grab one of these. That is what I personally do!

I hope you enjoyed this review!

The Taste: Tuesday at 9|8c on ABC

Hey guys and gals! Today I am going to be talking about a show that I have been loving these past few weeks! It is called The Taste. It is a cooking show, yes. But it isn't your average cooking show. I would say it is more of "The Voice" meets "Iron Chef America."

Make sense? Okay well I am going to explain sort of the plot of the show and tell you what I like about it. First off there are four main judges Anthony, Ludo, Nigella and Malarkey. They each have there own teams of competitors. Each team starts of by every member making a dish then the decide which is best and they present it to the guest judge. Whoever has made the best dish then gets immunity. Which means that even of the do bad in the next part of the show they can still stay.

The second half is the show is every man (and woman) for themselves. They need to make the best spoon or bite of food they possibly can to impress all four judges. After the judges have tasted all of the competitors dishes, the judges then vote on who did the best and who did the worst. If you did do well then obviously you get to stay but if you did not do well then they choose who did they worst amongst the worst and that person is then kicked off the show.

So, in a few ways this show is like many other competition shows in that it is your basic whoever does best stays, and bye, bye to anyone who stinks. But, it is different in the way that it brings a few different types of competition shows together. Making it it's own unique show.

Overall, I feel if you like cooking, competition and humor you should check this show out. It is enjoyable but it might make you hungry. It is on Tuesday nights at 9|8c on ABC.

Review!: Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+

He guys! So, this is just a quick review on the Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+. I got this as a part of the Influenster Holiday VoxBox '12 as many of you probably know I love Influenster and I believe you all should check them out!

Okay, now back to business. I got the Peaches and Almonds Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+. It was very tasty and filling but the part was that it was so simple to make. It to me virtually no time to make. These are kind of like a breakfast version of the Ramen Noodle Cups. The have dried fruit in them kind of like Ramen Cups have dried vegetables. All you have to do is fill it up with hot water to the line, wait a few minutes, stir then enjoy. These are perfectly sweetened and delicious, no need to add anything.

I really do suggest these if you are the type of person who is a rush and wants a quick, healthy breakfast. Or if you have kids. I know when I had to watch my little cousins alone for a few days (played the mommy role while my cousin was out of town) these were a huge hit. Plus they were super easy for me to make.

So, I hope you enjoyed this little review comment or message me on my Facebook Page if you want to do a special review for you! Also, here are a few links for you!

    Have a beautiful day!

Fashion Friday: Shoes!

Hey guys so today I am going to be talking about some of my favorite winter shoes. Here in Minnesota it is started to get into the negative teens and twenties....can anyone say brrr? But, not only that there is a thick layer of ice everywhere! So, my friends and I found our favorite shoes to keep us warm, comfy, cute and safe so we don't end up flat on our faces....or butts!

Lets get started! In the winter you want to really pay attention to the soles of your shoes. These will keep you upright! You also want to pay attention to how thick or thin your heal is! If it is to thin then chances are you will slip. The final thing is the lining. You don't want something that is thin or peep toe if you live in a cold climate because you will freeze your toes off.

So, these are my top five picks and I will tell you why!

Abby Boots from SoleSociety

I love these boots from SoleSociety because they are wedged and as a short person that height does come in handy but I don't feel like I am wearing heels! They keep my feet warm and I can pair them with almost anything! What isn't to love? I suggest these for anyone who still wants to rock some height on the ice.

Brown Suede Lita Platform Boot from Nasty Gal

Now, these seem a little impractical but give them a try! These lovelies keep my toes warm while looking so damn cute! Now I do have more issues walking in these then in the SoleSociety Wedges but the sole of these grips the ground nicely and the heel is just thick enough to give me the balance. So, I highly recommend these.

Orla Flat Moccasins from Target
I love these as a way to get away from heels and give my feet a break. These are super soft and warm on the inside and on the outside they are just plain cute. These are also really affordable (around ten dollars.) They come in many different colors that are all beautiful. I suggest going to pick a pair up! You have nothing to lose!

Floral Print High Tops from Forever21
I love these! They aren't your average shoe, obviously. But these are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I have tried. They keep my feet warm and it is almost impossible to fall in these. I suggest wearing these with a pair of leggings and sweater. A comfy, cozy outfit!

Levity Tabitha Pump from DSW
These aren't the warmest or the safest but as a girl you have to take a risk! The soles on these do keep you from slipping most of the time and your toes stay warm, just not the rest of your foot! lol So, go ahead and be a daredevil it is okay! These babies are the best to try if you are scared.

Overview
So, these were just a few of my winter favorites there are many more but that could take forever! In the end it is really all about what you are comfortable in! If you want to rock it go ahead and try. Nothing should stop you.

I was not sponsored by any of these brands. I am just here talking about my favorites!
